Cat Entertainment Services was busy the entire month of April, supplying power for two of the biggest music festivals in the country. Load-in began April 1 for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival in Indio, Calif. Seventeen CES technicians and more than 60 generators remained on the grounds during the six-day event, which took place over two weekends: April 12 – 14 and 19 – 21.
More than 95,000 people-a-day attended “Coachella,” headlining acts like Blur, Phoenix and Red Hot Chili Peppers, to name a few.
The following weekend, CES supplied the power for “Stagecoach 2013” and some 650 RVs parked at the three-day, country-music jamboree, also held in sun-scorched Coachella Valley. There, a crowd of 45,000 fans rollicked to the likes of the Zac Brown Band, Charlie Pride, Dwight Yoakam, Lady Antebellum, Toby Keith and Charlie Daniels while remaining blissfully unaware of the flawless, behind-the-scenes performance of our CES techs.
Little do festival-goers know how much their enjoyment depends on our hard-working CES technicians! Thanks to the expertise and dedication of project manager Marcus Brown and his on-site crew of techs, the events in Coachella Valley draw some of the biggest, most satisfied crowds of all.
