CES Expands Green Initiatives

March 11, 2013 08:44

The drive schedule for Cat Entertainment Services’ tractor-trailer rigs on the NASCAR circuit exceeds 50,000 miles per vehicle per year.

For the upcoming NASCAR season, the dual tires on the CES long haul tractors and trailers have been replaced with “Super Single” tires. In addition to reducing overall weight by as much as 1,000 pounds per rig, these tires reduce the vehicles’ rolling resistance, improving fuel economy from four to six percent in terms of miles per gallon.

The bottom line? It’s estimated that the tire exchange could save as much as $8,000 per vehicle in fuel costs and recover the initial cost in one season. Equally important, it will reduce the division’s carbon footprint.

CES is committed to finding ways to improve efficiency and minimize the entertainment industry’s impact on the environment.

Cat Entertainment Services’ experienced professionals provide turnkey power generation, distribution and high-volume temperature control solutions to meet the requirements of the entertainment and event production industries. CES is committed to providing high-quality customer service and maintaining unsurpassed standards of excellence.
