CAT Entertainment Services Provides Electricity and Temperature Control for the NASCAR Daytona 500

CAT Entertainment Services (CES) was once again responsible for bringing the Daytona 500 into NASCAR fans’ homes by powering the television broadcasting compound. This year, CAT Entertainment Services provided all of the pre-planning, technical advice, customized installation and on-site operations required to power for the television compound at the Daytona 500. CAT Entertainment worked closely with NASCAR Media Group to ensure a successful worldwide broadcast of the most prestigious and famous stock car race in the industry.

The 2011 Daytona 500 was extraordinarily special because it was the first race on a new racetrack. Daytona International Speedway completed the first complete renovation of the racetrack since 1958 just in time for this year’s Daytona 500 race. CES ensured that the live broadcast of this milestone event was televised worldwide without a glitch.

In addition to powering the NASCAR television broadcast, CES was on-site providing service all Speed Week long in Daytona Beach. CAT Entertainment provided power generation and comfort air for Sponsor events and the entire Hospitality Village. CES power technicians provided specialized cooling and heating through an integral duct system that maintained a pleasant aesthetic appearance without reducing temperature control performance.

In total CAT Entertainment Services supplied approximately 2000 tons air conditioning, 10.2 million BTU of heating, 4 megawatts of power generation and 4.25 miles of cable!
